May is Cray When Your Hubster Does Monuments!

Alex has been hammering big time trying to get all the monuments out before Memorial Day and also before we go on a family vacation (with my mom, Shelby, and Granny) the week before Memorial Day.  Oof.  So, he's been gone pretty much since early/mid April trying to accomplish this feat.  Lord bless him!!  The kids have been in search of distraction from our Daddy-less existence.  We are thankful for good weather, which we have been playing in parks and enjoying.  We went to Handy Park Sunday with Kim, Matthew, and Marissa and the kids had a BALL.  We culminated our day of baseball, tractor climbing, bubbles, and chalk drawing with dinner in the Mary garden at church.  It was so nice.  Future priest?  James was shaking a stick with "holy water" on us all and blessing us.  This is not the first time we've noticed priestly tendencies in my dear one.
Another day, we went to our "private park" and watched a baseball practice.  The boys are stoked to start ball this year.
Last night, we picked Dad up at Williamsville and went to Pizza Hut to use Freddie's Book-It certificate.  We got spun up on sweet tea and even ordered brownies.  The kids enjoyed the deer hunting game.  As we drove home, a very large storm threatened and as a black cloud closed in overhead, James announced his need to pee.  So we found a gravel road and I prayed for protection and he hopped out and did the biz.
Then Wayne needed to nurse.  The kids were fascinated by the storm.
PS This is the pollen-iest spring I ever do recall.  (post-nasal drip-induced cough)
Today I'm supposed to have lunch with old friend and Amy's godmother, Myra.  Wondering if I can have a margarita and be good to drive to get the boys from school??  Probably not.
